December was a busy round of Advent and Christmas activities, beginning with the annual decoration of Bevern View which everyone loves.  Music, art and drama are such a huge part of the creative life of Bevern View.  Early in the month, we made Christmas cards and then delivered them to some friends and supporters in our local area.

Residents and staff were all involved in filming the Christmas music video which can be viewed on our YouTube channel.

Throughout November and December a number of our residents put together some beautiful sensory Nativity scenes made up of different materials to feel, and also included the real scent of frankincense. The story boards work alongside a Sensory story in the home’s sensory room with music, sounds, lighting effects and smells.

Even our baking had a Christmas theme with the creation of a delicious Yule log!
