The Adventures of Florence Candy

Over the last few months, a group of Bevern View residents have been recreating some of their favourite stories, as well as learning new ones. They have done a few sensory versions of some popular stories, such as Julia Donaldsons Monkey puzzle and The Highway Rat, which are available for our residents to watch in the sensory room, as well as being accessible to view on our Youtube channel, along with lots more videos that show a variety of things we get up to.

The most recent story our residents have learnt is a new one, written by our Activities Co-ordinator, called ‘The Adventures of Florence Candy’. The story follows a cloud, who has decided she wants to go on an adventure, to discover other clouds.

Who will Florence Candy see and meet on this fun adventure?

To really bring the story to life the residents created some character profiles, painted the props, and did a spot of acting too. To bring the whole process together, the residents acted in an action packed performance of the story. This video is a chance for them look back and reminisce on their past work.
