Barcombe Scarecrow Competition!
We are excited to announce our very first Scarecrow Competition!
Following the votes from residents, staff, and supporters, the chosen theme for this year’s scarecrows is… Musicals!
You can display your musicals-themed scarecrow from 1st October to 4th November. Get creative and draw inspiration from any musical, whether it’s Aladdin, Cabaret, The Sound of Music, or West Side Story!
How to Enter:
Entering is easy! Simply make a £10 donation and provide the following details:
- Your name
- Scarecrow location
- Contact number
You can make your donation on our website or in person at Bevern View.
Judging:
Judging will take place on Monday, 4th November on the High Street, Barcombe. Natasha Kaplinsky and Bevern View residents will be our judges, and their decision will be final. For the confirmed judging time, keep an eye on our website or our October newsletter.
We would be delighted for any residents outside Barcombe village to also take part – simply display your scarecrow outside your home and bring him or her to join the fun on 4th November!
If your scarecrow is not being displayed at a property on the High Street, you have three options:
- Deliver Your Scarecrow: Please bring your scarecrow to Bevern View by Friday, 1st November.
- Take your Scarecrow: Bring your scarecrow to join the others on Monday 4th November on the High Street.
- Request Collection: We can arrange to collect your Scarecrow. To do so, please email us on info@beverntrust.org or call 01273 400752.
Once we’ve gathered all the scarecrows, they will be displayed together on the High Street.
